Unilever - new headquarter germany

Provision of an expert opinion & crisis project management to test the functional viability of the building automation and manage all the trades involved
The new Unilever Germany Head Office is located in a high-profile site directly on the banks of the Elbe in Hamburg’s HafenCity. The building won various prizes for ecological construction, including the BEX Award 2009 and the Eco-Seal of HafenCity Hamburg GmbH in gold. On turnkey, the new Unilever-Haus was the world’s largest building outfitted completely with energy-efficient LED luminaires. The sustainable construction also relied on concrete core activation for cooling, a heat recovery system on the roof, room automation in the conferences zones, and louver controls. CANZLER was commissioned by HOCHTIEF-Projektentwicklung GmbH Hamburg to provide an expert opinion as the construction process had been disrupted, and also to provide substitute planning and trouble management services for quality assurance while supervising the building automation and the plant components subject to automated control. The automation functions are covered and monitored via the standardized BACnet interface using a manufacture-independent central building control system. Room automation including light controls relies on EIB / KNX.
