Lufthansa Integrated Operations Control Center

Property planning and monitoring service levels 1-8 during modernization of an office building
In the building erected in 1972 on the grounds of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Airport, on floor 6 two flight organization areas were combined to house the new Lufthansa Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC). CANZLER was appointed to handle construction planning for service levels 1-8. The story is about 2,500m² in size and was completely gutted and a futurist new design applied. The space now boasts a core area in the middle, grouped around it a kitchenette as well as technical and crisis management centers and the open-plan offices. It is home to some 160 high-tech work stations that monitor flight operations, subdivided into individual sections by half-ceiling-height screens. The ceiling features lighting strips and décor to designate the sections.
