Sky - Sport-Sendezentrum
Planning, tendering and site supervision of all plant groups of the technical equipment for the conversion of a TV broadcasting center
The new SKY sports broadcasting center is located in a building complex from the 1970s in the ZDF broadcasting center in Munich Unterföhring. For use as a modern sports broadcasting center for the pay TV station SKY, changes had to be made to the floor plans and the technical equipment had to be brought up to date. The aim was to replace the existing technology only where necessary. In addition, a special spatial solution had to be created for the broadcasting operation. Three TV studios form the core of the center, one of which is used for the open soccer conference with up to 200 viewers. In addition, office and technical rooms for TV production were refurbished.
CANZLER developed a partially redundant building services concept, since a high degree of reliability was required in the areas of power supply and refrigeration. The planning also included the wastewater, water, gas and heat supply systems, as well as ventilation systems, fire extinguishing systems and building automation. CANZLER was also responsible for the entire tendering, awarding and construction supervision in the project. Since no flow noise from cooling or ventilation systems is allowed to emanate during broadcasting operations, CANZLER developed a special room ventilation solution for the voice recording booths, in which the air outlets and inlets were equipped with integrated silencers.
