MAN Energy Solutions assembly hall

Planning and implementation planning of an XXL production hall with large spans in the Danube alluvial area
At the Deggendorf site, MAN Energy Solutions has been developing and manufacturing reactor systems and large components for global customers from research and the chemical industry for more than 60 years. To further expand capacity, a new assembly hall had to be built at the site. CANZLER provided the design, approval and implementation planning for the new construction of the steel skeleton structure in XXL format with a footprint of 100 × 50 metres. Since the products can only be transported by water, the secure foundation of the structure with over 500 bored piles directly on the Danube was a major challenge. Three 60-tonne travelling cranes with a span of 30 metres had to be provided in the 30-metre-high hall to enable self-sufficient production in three segments of the hall.
