City villa
Extension, conversion and refurbishment of an urban villa formerly used as an office in Frankfurt‘s West End
A villa in Frankfurt‘s West End that had long been used as an office was renovated and restored to its original use as a prestigious city residential building. The second floor, which was added after the war, with a flat pitched roof, was demolished, newly raised and a mansard roof was added. The reconstruction and renewal of the roof truss quote the character and the time of its construction, but unmistakably transfer the house into the modern age. In addition to the living quarters of the owners on the ground floor and the first floor, two spacious apartments were created on the second floor and the new attic.
