SENNHEISER Innovation Campus

General planning for a multifunctional and technically sustainable development center with attached flagship store
At the company headquarters in Wedemark, a new development center was planned for the company of Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG, a new development center was planned and implemented. The new campus is divided into three three-story office wings, the flagship store and a reception and event area. All functions are connected via a rear single-story building span, in which meeting rooms and kitchenettes are arranged. Seating areas promote internal communication within the company and ensure a fast and effective exchange of information between the different areas. As general planner, CANZLER took over the complete planning of the new building. In the process, the maximum flexibility desired by the client in the use of the office space was implemented with an "open space" concept. For this reason, CANZLER provided connection options for corridor and partition walls in a 1.25-meter grid in the office blocks, so that each floor could be individually divided according to the needs and working methods of the respective departments. For energy-efficient heating and cooling of the office building, an ice storage tank with a volume of around 1000 m³ was installed in the basement of the second office block. The energy stored in the ice is used for cooling in summer and heating in winter.
