Berlin
Capital Representative Office - Deutsche Telekom AG
Replacement of the entire fire alarm system as well as renewal and expansion of the ELA system with the least possible intervention in the historic building fabric
Deutsche Telekom maintains its capital representative office, a multifunctional event center, in Berlin. The complex, completed in 2001 and consisting in part of listed buildings from different eras, is centrally located in Berlin-Mitte between Gendarmenmarkt and Stadtschloss. A glass portal building facing Französische Straße creates an invitingly transparent main entrance to the event center. The central roofed courtyard connects all parts of the building and is a representative event location in the capital.
Due to incomplete documentation, it was not possible to implement the requirements of current building permits and fire protection concepts regarding monitoring and alarming on the existing fire protection systems. CANZLER planned and supervised the replacement of the entire fire alarm system and the renewal of the ELA system during ongoing operation.
