Residential complex Hans Seidel Platz

Project planning of a residential complex with connecting buildings and underground parking in the course of a residential area development
The Munich district of Neuperlach was to be upgraded with a new urban center. The project, called "Kulturquadrat," created a new, lively center with residential and cultural buildings. CANZLER planned two exceptional residential buildings with a total of 200 units as part of the overall project. The residential mix varies from 1- to 5-room apartments. In the two identical six-story buildings, the fifth and sixth floors spring back to provide generous roof terraces with landscaped roof gardens. The roof terraces are available to all residents and are connected by a spiral staircase. The ensemble is particularly striking because of its curved balconies, which characterize the courtyard view in both houses. The color design of the balustrade elements harmonizes with the respective facade color and is also found in the privacy and sun protection elements of the glazed joint components between the houses and on the street facades.
