UFA - multiplex cinema

In the center of Dresden, UFA Theater AG commissioned the international star architects Coop Himmelb(l)au from Vienna to build an architecturally spectacular multiplex premiere cinema with integrated catering facilities in addition to an existing circular cinema. CANZLER planned and supervised the complete technical equipment for the project. In addition to the planning of the fire extinguishing systems and the gas, water and waste water technology, the design of the heating and cooling technology, the ventilation technology as well as the building automation placed special demands on the planners, as balanced climatic conditions had to be guaranteed all year round at acceptable operating costs despite the deconstructivist glass architecture.
