Seat of government of the federal state of Brandenburg

The Seat of Government of the State of Brandenburg in the heart of the State Capital of Potsdam was restructured step by step. By modernization of the existing buildings and erecting new functional office spaces a total gross surface area of over 90,000 m² arose. Constant organizational changes within the current uses and for future usages called for great flexibility in the built and technical infrastructure. The complex linkages of infrastructure and realization of the individual building projects and construction phases were therefore combined in a comprehensive interdisciplinary development plan. The energy and supply concept devised by CANZLER enabled the independent realization of the infrastructure measures, the new builds, and modernization of the existing buildings. By optimizing investments and operating costs, an economic overall solution was developed with certain long-term costing.
