Complete renovation of an office building from the 1960s in a prime location close to the city centre into a modern rental office building
The office tower from the late 1960s is located near the city centre in Frankfurt‘s West End. Already extensively renovated in 1992, fire protection and energy efficiency measures were necessary to meet today‘s market standards. The façade was also completely renewed, but the cubature of the building remained unchanged. CANZLER planned the total refurbishment as object planner in the work phases 4-? The building was deconstructed in the upper floors down to the supporting structure and a new curtain-type metal facade was installed. All windows are room-high and floor level. The existing staircase was replaced by a newly placed safety staircase. The deconstruction of the former technical areas and a company apartment on the 10th floor will create additional office space. The staggered structure of the building resulted in roof terraces in front of the Rothschild Park.
