Redevelopment Deutsches Theater

The building ensemble of the Deutsches Theater on Schwanthalerstrasse in Munich, consisting of the theater complex, the hall of mirrors and a catering, administration and office building, underwent a general refurbishment. The technical equipment was also to be comprehensively refurbished and the ensemble as a whole was to be upgraded in terms of fire protection. In order to identify deficiencies that could have impaired the overall operation of the facility, CANZLER conducted a comprehensive survey, which resulted in the definition of immediate measures, medium-term measures and long-term measures. The measures were implemented as part of the general renovation of the entire facility. The technical equipment was replaced in its entirety and the entire technical building equipment was renovated. A full air-conditioning system for up to 2,500 people with multifunctional hall use was installed.
