Consolidation of space to attract additional employees and introduction of a uniform document management system
By concentrating specialist departments at the EADS site in Manching, the number of employees was to be increased from 1,500 to 4,000. For new offices, electronics laboratories and the extension of the canteen, kitchen and parking areas, new buildings or extensions to the existing building stock were planned, which required various adjustments to the infrastructure. CANZLER supported the EADS site management throughout the entire development process in maintaining quality, costs and deadlines by keeping requirement specifications of all planning tasks, setting up budget and time schedules with an internal invoice and budget controlling as well as the internal overall coordination. Furthermore CANZLER advised the client in the awarding of contracts, in the technical planning and in the performance of the client‘s tasks. For this purpose qualities and standards for planners as well as for the awarding of contracts to executing companies were defined and the execution was accepted technically. Consulting on the development of a basis for uniform document management with CAFM standards was just as much a part of the task package as risk management. Due to the immediate vicinity of the airfield, which is used by helicopters and fighter jets, special requirements for safety and occupational health had to be taken into account.
