München
Palais an der Arnulfstraße
Planning of the extension of the refrigeration and electrical engineering as well as variant investigation for an integrated ventilation concept
The listed former Oberpostdirektion München dating from 1924 was extensively renovated in 2008/09 and has since been marketed as an office property under the name "Art Déco Palais". The complex, located on Hackerbrücke and Arnulfstrasse near Munich‘s city centre, houses modern offices in a historic ambience. In total, the property comprises over 37,500 m² of office space, 5,500 m² of warehouse space and around 140 parking spaces.
CANZLER analysed the existing refrigeration and electrical equipment in order to examine the feasibility of increasing the services in the field of electrical engineering and the retrofitting of a refrigeration system for a 12,000m2 rental area. Different solution variants for refrigeration were worked out under consideration of the existing building and the complete planning services according to HOAI for the preferential variant were taken over. Furthermore, the installation situation of the additional recooling plants had to be coordinated in cooperation with the architect, the structural engineer and the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments. In the course of the planning process CANZLER was additionally commissioned with an examination of variants for an integrated ventilation concept for the building.
