Office and residential buildings Hohemarkstrasse
Socially subsidised housing and office building in an unusual building structure
The office and residential building on Hohemarkstraße was built for the Oberursel housing cooperative. The unusual building concept consisting of two stacked volumes follows the development plan, which envisaged a flat street-facing development with higher transverse development. The street-accompanying dark block was designed as an office building for the administration of the cooperative. In the green cube above it, apartments were built, some of which were subsidised as part of the social housing scheme. The apartments are accessed from the rear and have loggias or roof terraces, which provide a view of the Taunus mountains or the skyline of Frankfurt from each apartment.
