Obersalzberg Visitor Center

Planning the electrical side to the Visitor Center’s extension building that houses the “Documentation Obersalzberg” permanent exhibition
On behalf of the IfZ Institute of Contemporary History in Munich as the user and the Berchtesgaden Tourism Authority, the Free State of Bavaria initiated the construction of a new building to house the permanent “Documentation Obersalzberg” exhibition. The new build sensitively blends with the local topography. The planner already handling the electrical side to the building was for capacity reasons not able to cover the services required for planning the electrical systems for the permanent and changing exhibitions, and CANZLER was accordingly brought on board. CANZLER relied here on its project experience with comparable museum and exhibition projects, and was able to guarantee direct engagement in the project through its Berlin and Munich offices.
