Bremerhaven
IKEA „XS-Store“
Planning of a sustainable technical equipment and subsequent supervision of the execution
The new construction of the furniture store IKEA Bremerhaven "XS" was based on the company‘s desire to develop smaller markets with less purchasing power. Areas were saved by reducing the size of external shop areas, planning a "warm-up kitchen" for the restaurant and eliminating the day nursery. In addition, the open-plan office for administration was no longer required, as this is the first location where administrative capacity from a neighboring store is also being used.
As part of the "IKEA goes renewable" programme, ecologically and economically optimised building services concepts were implemented. The aim is to supply all IKEA Group buildings with renewable energy in the future.
CANZLER planned the technical installations and provided their object supervision. The aim was the consistent implementation of the ecologically and economically optimised building services concepts. For the location in Bremerhaven a PV system on the roof, component activation by underfloor heating, use of radiant ceiling panels and energy-optimised RLT-/Elt systems were among others included. The thermal energy is generated by a gas condensing boiler and air/water heat pumps.
