IKEA - Goes renewable (IGR)

Energy savings in existing buildings through planning and implementation of energy saving measures
For the Group‘s own "IGR" (IKEA Goes Renewable) programme, IKEA provided one billion euros for the planning and implementation of energy-saving measures for all existing properties worldwide. In this programme CANZLER examined the technical installations in existing German houses and planned the replacement by more energy-saving products or the upgrading of existing facilities. At the same time the operation was analysed and optimised and energy meters were retrofitted to the building control system for monitoring. In this way, a tailor-made solution was implemented for each furniture store. In total, energy savings of more than 20% could be achieved.
