German headquarters Seat & Skoda

In an invited investor competition, a constructional solution was to be found for the two car brands of the Volkswagen Group at the location of the German headquarters in Weiterstadt, representing both brands. The design envisages an ensemble of two buildings to enable the creation of an address. A plaza was proposed between the two main buildings, accessible via two separate main entrances. The meeting point and communicative centre for the employees of both brands is the two-storey cafeteria on the ground floor, which connects both main buildings and faces directly towards the plaza. Exhibition rooms, cafeteria and plaza together with inserted galleries form a spatial continuum and allow a variety of view relationships.
