German Bundestag - Redevelopment Dorotheenstraße 90

Planning and project supervision of the technical equipment for the complete refurbishment of a listed building complex
Built in 1895 to plans by the architect Franz Schwechten, the block of flats is located in the center of Dorotheenstadt in Berlin's Mitte district. The building complex, which has been largely preserved and is typical of Berlin, consists of a five-storey main building with front, side and rear wings and a two-storey coach house in the second courtyard. The site has been converted into an office and administration center for the German Bundestag. Extensive modernization work was required to optimize the use of the listed building as a modern administration building. CANZLER worked closely with the conservation authorities to plan the sophisticated technical equipment and oversaw its implementation and integration into the largely gutted, partially demolished or dismantled building.
