Fraport AG - Gates Terminal 1

General planning of the technical equipment for the reconstruction of gates during operation for the integration of the Short Connex Service Center (SCSC)
At several gates of Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport, adjustments and extensions to the construction and technology in the area of immigration were necessary due to increased passenger numbers. This was implemented as part of Fraport AG‘s project "New Entry in the B50 Gates - Short Connex Service Center (SCSC)", which is designed to enable passengers to transit faster without having to check in and out. In parallel, a new structure for passenger service was developed and implemented with the SCSC. As general planner of the construction project CANZLER was responsible for all trades of the technical equipment. The reconstruction during ongoing airport operations placed special demands on the construction logistics and the internal project management, as the specific planning guidelines of the airport operator Fraport AG had to be taken into account and the coordination between a multitude of interface projects had to be ensured.
