Frankfurt Airport - Terminal 3 - Construction Management

Construction management of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation and sanitary engineering as well as building automation incl. HOAI Lph. 8 services, project and commissioning management
The first expansion stage of Frankfurt Airport's new Terminal 3 will go into operation in 2023 and provide additional capacity for 14 million travelers per year. The final expansion stage is designed for a volume of 19 million passengers per year. In the final stage, the total area of the terminal will cover 306,000 m², spread over five upper floors and two basement levels. Wide-body aircraft from all over the world will dock at 24 gates. Terminal 3 is also being planned as an energy-sustainable building. CANZLER is responsible for construction management of the air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, plumbing and building automation systems for this major project. The diverse uses result in a wide range of technical requirements. For example, the retail areas require increased cooling capacities and passenger areas must offer comfortable room conditions with fluctuating passenger numbers and independent of external climatic conditions. To meet the requirements of sustainable operation, waste heat from the baggage conveyor system is used to heat the terminal.
