Frankfurt Airport - Building Automation Terminal 3
Expert planning, tendering and site supervision of the building automation for the new terminal building at a major international airport
The first phase of the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport comprised the main terminal building with check-in areas, central security controls, a marketplace for travelers and transfer zones, as well as arrival areas and baggage control centers. In addition, two pier facilities with the associated gates and passenger boarding bridges and the integrated bus stops for the apron buses.
CANZLER took over the planning, the tendering of the services as well as the object supervision for the building automation for the entire project according to the BACnet standard developed and updated for Fraport AG.
The system comprises a total of 150,000 automation functions, 23,000 of them for safety-relevant functions, which were realized via redundant PLCs.
