Evonik / Goldschmidt Laboratory Building E18

The laboratory building, completed in 1981 on the 27-hectare site of Evonik Goldschmidt GmbH, has been extensively rebuilt, expanded, and adapted through changes of use over the course of its use. The balances of the air volumes at the workplaces, digestors and exhaust systems no longer complied with the current workplace guidelines, and the entire air conditioning systems no longer corresponded to the state of the art. In a first step CANZLER carried out extensive functional tests and prepared an inventory of the fire protection and all ventilation systems with measurements of the air quantities and air flows. In the next step CANZLER developed a planning concept for the repair and new regulation of all systems.
