Campus Nestlé – Shop and Competence Center

Building planning and construction realization in service levels 1-8 for the new-build exhibition and conference center with an integrated shop as part of the expansion of the administrative head office in Frankfurt
With the redesign of the company campus dating from 1970 at the administrative head office of Nestlé Deutschland AG in Bürostadt Niederrad in Frankfurt the group sought to establish a more open public profile. The 3rd construction phase involved realization of the Competence Center at the central Campus plaza. CANZLER was awarded property planning for service levels 1-8. In the 3-story new build the two upper floors float as a shared volume over the ground floor, which with the staggered dark glass façade takes a back seat. The ground floor includes the lobby and lounge and the Nestlé-Shop, sized about 150m². On the first upper floor there is a variable exhibition space with permanent and changing shows on new products and research and pilot projects and the 2nd upper floor houses the conference area. The façade of the 1st upper floor features a curtain wall of metal-mesh louvers that provide solar protection. A striking flying roof floats over the top floor, which is set back. Glass blades along the parapet round out the overall shape.
