BSH Hausgeräte Group headquarter - New work
Project management and construction management across all trades for the conversion of cellular offices into open-plan offices according to the New Work standard during ongoing operations
With the “Space Optimization MCW” project at the Munich headquarters, Europe's largest home appliance manufacturer BSH is pursuing the goal of determining the changed demand for space utilization in the buildings occupied in 2004/2005, which have a total of 76,000 square meters of office space, and implementing new concepts for agile workspaces for around 3,000 employees.
Depending on the orientation of the division, areas and workplaces were individually conceived and designed. All areas received an open community space with kitchen, meeting areas, meeting rooms and places of retreat.
CANZLER was commissioned with the control and construction management for the conversion measures as well as the implementation of the new area concepts of around 27,000 sqm. This included, among other things, the service procurement processes across all trades, through individual awards within the framework of the SAP control processes for repair and procurement measures. CANZLER also provided support in the detailed planning of the plumbing installations, taking into account user-specific requirements, created complex detailed construction schedules for each construction phase/user, coordinated the service providers across all trades in accordance with occupational safety and fire protection requirements, and took over continuous cost tracking.
To ensure that ongoing operations were not restricted by the expansion measures, partial areas of up to 1,000 m² were cleared and converted within a tight timeframe of 4 to 6 weeks and fully furnished with furniture and workstations.
In addition to the construction management function, the team supported the BSH project management in taking the inventory, took over the construction site logistics and provided support by taking over the reporting and document management.
