BMW - new automobile plant

Public-law commissioning of four construction phases for the building automation and the security technology.
The new BMW automobile plant in North Leipzig complements the German carmaker’s global production network. There will be some 5,500 new jobs at the plant and around 1,000 vehicles will roll off the belts each day. Carefully thought-out workflow and flexible structures for all production areas with state-of-the minute processes (computer simulation, especially ergonomic work stations, robot technologies, etc.) ensure interruption-free production flow and swift expansion and/or adjustments to manufacturing. CANZLER successfully managed and controlled the realization of the building automation and security technology, consisting of the operations control center for danger management, access control and time monitoring as well as the clock mechanism, in-company security, CCTV, the burglar alarm systems and the fire alarm units. Moreover, CANZLER was in charge of the controls for the smoke extraction, the sprinkler technology and the lighting. The systems from four different construction phases were combined here and all the security-based conditions from the building permits met. Only in this way was it possible to commission the plant in time and in line with public law.
