CANZLER is acquiring a majority stake in Pielok Marquardt Planungsgesellschaft (previously Pielok Marquardt Architekten) from Offenbach. With retroactive effect from January 1, 2017 the architecture office that specializes in new office buildings and modernizations as well as district and residential construction will merge with CANZLER. Consequently, both firms will be able to offer their clients a broader range of services by fusing their expertise and capacities in the areas of architecture, general planning, technical outfit and FM consulting.
Pielok Marquardt has a reputation in the Rhine-Main region as a competent and reliable general planner and architect for ambitious new office buildings, refurbishing and structural restoration. In addition, the office that has been in business for 25 years develops concepts for high quality interior fittings, canteen and communication buildings and plans facade restorations. Regular clients of Pielok Marquardt include regionally known project developers such as OFB and owner-users like Merck, Eumetsat, Lufthansa and Nestlé. CANZLER and Pielok Marquardt already complement each other in existing projects, for example in the areas of high-rise refurbishment, office tenant improvements but also kitchen and canteen makeovers.
“For us acquiring a holding in Pielok Marquardt means a substantial step forward in expanding in the field of architectural and general planning,” says Bertram Canzler, managing partner of CANZLER. “By having a broader base in the field of architecture we can offer our clients a larger range of services from a single source for new buildings, or the refurbishment and modernization of existing ones,” argues Andreas Masiorek, managing director of CANZLER in the Concept area. This acquisition increases the proportion of architects in the firm by 30 percent. And it means the growth targets CANZLER set itself for 2017 in relation to fees and employees are effectively secured already.
The managing partners of Pielok Marquardt view their merger with CANZLER very positively: “As we already cooperate with specialists for technical outfitting in the general planning of office buildings by joining forces with CANZLER we can tap into fundamental synergies. And going forward we can further expand our activities nationwide with the support of the 7 offices of CANZLER,” says Andreas Pielok. “A win-win-situation with excellent market prospects for future projects,” adds Hans-Martin Marquardt.
