Heat pumps - use in existing buildings?

07.02.2023

Lecture 1:      Fact check: Heat pump in existing buildings

Speaker:      Dipl.-Ing. Dietmar Gross, E.ON Group Innovation GmbH

The Climate Protection Act clearly defines the targets for the buildings sector. How exactly these goals can be achieved in detail, however, is not quite so clear.
Certainly, heat pumps will have a supporting role in the energy system. Whether and under what conditions they can be used in existing buildings, however, there are
there are differing views and assessments. For the fact check system simulations were carried out and the most important reservations were highlighted.

Lecture 2:      Revitalization of industrial halls

Speaker:       Dipl.-Ing. Frank Heidrich, Kampmann GmbH & Co. KG

The use of heat pumps is currently experiencing great importance. Manufacturers have developed products for use in new buildings, old buildings, administrative buildings and the industry. Which refrigerants are future-oriented? How should accessibility be provided for operation and maintenance? What are the differences between
VRF/VRV to water? The lecture will provide assistance for design, dimensioning and suggestions, what has to be considered for the operation. The lecture will also discuss the heating of halls with air heaters in low-temperature systems, e.g. heat pumps  will be considered. Furthermore, the use of air curtains for optimizing the energy balance will be a topic.
