The lecture followed by a tour of the Fraunhofer IEG will provide an insight into a possible climate-neutral energy supply of the future. Decarbonization plays a decisive role in this.

Different geothermal solutions for heating and cooling will be presented and the heat supply for neighborhood solutions and for district heating will be presented. Finally, the research infrastructure at the campus in Bochum will be visited - please wear a helmet and safety shoes.
