Tunneling A17, motorway Dresden – Prag between motorway junction Dresden Gorbitz and Dresden Südvorstadt

The motorway A17 incorporates the south side by-pass for the city of Dresden and is used as one of the most important transport links into the Czech Republic.

The tunneling A17 between the connection points Dresden Gorbitz and Dresden Südvorstadt includes three tunneling constructions with alltogether 4,000 meters length as well as the Weisseritztalbrücke with its wing-span of 220 meters.

The tunneling constructions are supported, observed and operated by four different premises. For securing of a frictionless transportation the traffic and infrastructural facilities are remotely monitored and controlled in dependency of their actual situation.

Several efficient and to the utilisation aligned supply systems guarantee an uninterruptible operation for 365 days a year.

Canzler was responsible for project management, property surveillance and final building inspection including power current, fire extinguish and inlet ventilation technique as well as smoke disposal.
