CIBA Vision is a leading company in the research, development, manufacture and sales of contact lenses and contact lens care products.

At the site Großwallstadt in Germany, 2000 employees work on the development and manufacturing of contact lenses.

The production capacity at the plant required considerable expansion and the change of the production technology from a water-based to a solvent-based method.
Therefore extensive modifications to the infrastructure of the technical equipment were necessary.

Canzler was responsible for the design and construction supervision of the technical equipment.
The task was to integrate into the existing building area six, instead of four machines. The work had to be coordinated and carried out without disruption of the ongoing operation of the plant, as well as achieving clean-room quality and minimizing the sound transmission from the production area.
