New building of a high-tech automobile plant with 650 vehicles being produced each day

The new automobile plant of the BMW AG, located in the north of Leipzig, complements the world-wide production network of the German automobile company. 5,500 jobs will be created on the new plant premises. About 650 vehicles will be completed every day.

Sophisticated process flows and flexible structures of all production departments with modern processes (computer simulation, especially ergonomic work places, robot technologies etc.) assure failure-free production flows and adaptation of the production.

On behalf of Arge Assmann & Obermeyer, Canzler successfully leads and controls the accomplishment of building automation, safety engineering (primary control unit for danger management, access control, time recording, clock constructions, plant security, video control, burglary and hold-up alarm systems and fire alarm systems) and of the smoke and heat venting system, the sprinkler installation and the lighting of windows. Total costs of these assembly sections account for about 20 mill. Euro.
