Hospital with about 270 beds in eight specialist departments

The St. Josef-Hospital was founded more than 100 years ago in Essen-Kupferdreh. During the last 35 years it has changed from an ordinary general hospital with only two specialist departments to a modern powerful clinic with eight departments of high speciality. The hospital has been rearranged and modernised and became more and more user-orientated.

For the renewal of the central energy supply of the real estate Canzler developed an integrated and comprehensive energy and environment concept with integration of a block-type thermal power station regarding the special supply situation of the hospital. Besides the technical overall planning, Canzler advised on, planned and placed the tertian financing and the operation of the measure.

Since the new building was constructed in 1968 Canzler has been looking after many extension and rearrangement projects, like e. g. the new building of the operation centre that opened in April 2002.
