The Technology and Development Centre (ETEC) in Essen established a new extension with 5 upper storeys and 2 basement storeys with a surface gross storey area of approximately 9,200 m² for up to 200 work places. In the basement 90 parking spaces are situated.

Exclusive tenant and user of the new extension is the Essener Systemhaus (ESH), an enterprise of the municipal Essen. From its new location the ESH operates with approximately 150 employers a data network for more than 12,000 IT workstations on 370 locations in the net.

The data centre with ancillary and storage areas in 2 storeys, covers approximately 1,400 m² gross storey area.

Canzler was responsible for the planning and project supervision of the technical equipment for the basic fit-out.

The ESH assigned Canzler with the master planning of construction and technique for the tenants fit out of a data centre. The scale of work consisted out of the composition of the structured wiring, the coordination of the third work for the active components and the planning of the safety features and equipment (fire alarm system, intrusion detection system, fire extinguishing systems, access control etc.).
