The primary tenant, a globally-active banking corporation, operates a large computer center inside the building that must be powered without interruption 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. On the roof of the high-rise there are ventilation and recooling units which disturb the neighboring apartment tower by their high noise level, particularly at night. The allowable noise emission value for residential areas between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. is 45 dB(A), with emission values of 61.3 dB(A) measured at the site.
